Having meetings in different area of the city forces me to sometimes turn some rock over to find coffee shops. Especially that I try to stay away from Starbucks.

I was looking for a place that is walking distance from Century park. So I walk passed the Starbucks and there it was, Bogani Cafe. I thought it was Italian...

Anyhow, the place is due for a little face lift. It's kinda antique but without the caché. On the flip side, the prices are pretty good and they have real food. Something that some new place sometime overlook it feels. I can't feed on cookies and cake for 6 straight hours!

    4 stars!!

When I visited, the barista on shift was short with me, as if I was irritating her. The cafe itself is clean, organized, and quaint, but I don't think the beverages and food items are worth their price. The overall quality and portion sizing was disappointing.

For a quick coffee or a quiet space to work, it's alright. For something you can visit repeatedly and rely on, maybe try elsewhere.

I had a pain clinic appointment, and it was snowing like crazy, so I didn't want to head straight home at rush hour. The Starbucks in the same shopping center is always packed, so I did a search and found this place across the street. Decided to try it.

Others have described this place as cozy, but I found it too dark-- like a cave. This from the gal who always takes the window seat at any place so I get the most light.

I read the issues on here about the internet, so didn't bother, hoping perhaps the coffee or snacks would make it worth my while and worth returning.

I ordered a latte and a date square. The coffee had a strange aftertaste, and the date square was wrapped in plastic, which told me that it probably was not made in-house, but shipped form somewhere else. I'm used to the wonderful, buttery date squares at Cafe Blackbird, and this one did not measure up. Too sweet, and also kind of a weird aftertaste.

After reading the various nickel-and-dimed issues others have had here, and adding my first-hand experience means I'll be trying other locations nearby next time I'm in the area.

Phenomenal! Great fresh food for a great price. We had the soup and sandwich combo, an ice coffee and chocolate cheese cake. The sandwich had so much fresh crisp veggies that is was falling apart while we ate and the cream of broccoli soup was fantastic, even my husband that doesn't like broccoli liked it. My ice coffee was the size of a Tim Hotrtons XL  and delicious. Lastly the cheese cake was so rich we  couldn't finish and had to take it home. Such a great coffee shop that we just happened across. We will be back!

Bogani Cafe is a family run cafe and has a very warm feel. Like the feeling of enjoying a warm beverage at home in your living room. with mismatched furniture and all. There is plenty of seating and table space in the cafe which makes for this spot to be great for a date, catching up with something or just spending the afternoon studying/getting some work done. I've only have their warm lattes and espresso drinks, so I can't speak to the food, but I do enjoy the quiet and homey atmosphere. Also as this cafe is in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking! That is always a win not to have to worry about not finding street parking or having to make sure your parking is paid up!
